Week 10 Samuel

 Watch https://youtu.be/P13uIsFW7OA?feature=shared

Talk about Samuel hearing God's voice and tell the children that God still speaks to people today. Do you remember when we talked about Jesus being our shepherd? We are like the sheep and the sheep (that's us) know the voice of the shepherd (that's Jesus)

At first Samuel heard a voice but didn't know it was God.  He had to practice listening.  And he had to ask an older person, Eli, for help.

Just like Samuel we can hear God speak.  God has given us the Bible which is where His words are written down. This is why it's important for us to read and know the Bible.  What time of day did God speak to Samuel?  At night time.  God still speaks to people at night time, sometimes in a dream. Can you think of someone in the Bible who heard God in a dream ? (Joseph in O.T. re brothers Joseph in NT re flight to Egypt)

Let's see how good we are at listening ( animal sounds quiz)
